During the week of June 8, 2020, the ESU #11 Staff Development Department provided an intensive training for teachers within the service unit area. This training was designed to help support teachers in their current efforts to implement STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activities in the classroom. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, collaborated with others, and created purposeful STEAM lessons that promote student engagement and meet the state standards. This course was taught by master teacher, Stephanie Dannehl, from Bertrand Community Schools. Teachers from the following districts participated in the class: Loomis, Minden, Bertrand, Gibbon, Wilcox-Hildreth, and Holdrege.
