On October 22, 2020, ESU 11 hosted a Professional Learning Community meeting for 7-12 grade Social Studies teachers. PLCs are an ongoing process in which educators work collaboratively to achieve better results for the students they serve. During the course of the day, teachers had the opportunity to learn how to address learning loss and interrupted learning, review best practices when providing instruction remotely, both on and offline, and view resources to help improve student achievement. Dr. Ebony McKiver, Social Studies Consultant at the Nebraska Department of Education, Andrew Easton, Coordinator of Digital Learning for Educational Service Unit Coordinating Council, along with Kate and Jody, were the facilitators for the day.
