On October 14, 2021, ESU 11 hosted a Professional Learning Community meeting for 7-12 Science teachers. PLCs are an ongoing process in which educators work collaboratively to achieve better results for the students they serve. During the first part of the day, teachers focused on instructional practices and how to adjust a lesson plan in order to incorporate instructional routines to support questioning and the College and Career Ready Science Standards. In the afternoon, teachers learned best practices involved to identify high quality instructional science materials. Audrey Webb, Science Education Specialist at the Nebraska Department of Education, was the facilitator for the day.
