On October 6, 2020, ESU 11 hosted a Professional Learning Community meeting for 7-12 Science teachers. PLCs are an ongoing process in which educators work collaboratively to achieve better results for the students they serve. During the course of the day, teachers learned how to integrate inquiry into the classroom, had the opportunity to learn best practices in moving forward with interrupted learning from last spring, and explore best practices and resources when needing to engage students in remote learning. Abby Webb, Science Education Specialist at the Nebraska Department of Education, Dorann Avey, NDE Digital Learning Director, along with Kate and Jody, were the facilitators for the day.
