ESU #11 Employees Take the 100-Day Live Healthy America Challenge
ESU #11 is taking wellness seriously. Sixteen ESU #11 employees in three teams will participate in Live Healthy America’s 100-Day Wellness Challenge starting January 20, where they’ll learn to create healthy habits by tracking physical activity, improving their nutrition and realizing weight loss.
Through its team-centric approach, the Live Healthy America 100-Day Wellness Challenge has helped more than 306,486 participants lose 1,209,635+ pounds and log nearly 600,000,000 activity minutes. Now ESU #11 employees can participate and reap the wellness benefits of the Challenge themselves.
Throughout the Challenge, ESU #11 employees will have unlimited access to online resources, recipes, videos, workouts, and health and wellness information, plus the support of other Live Healthy America members to keep them on track to achieving their personal wellness goals. The Challenge focuses on education, motivation, activation and personal achievement.
“We knew the 100 Day Live Healthy America Challenge was right for our company when we learned how easy it would be to implement company-wide. We didn’t want to implement a program that would make our employees feel like they had to change everything all at once or try to ‘fit’ more into their lives. The Live Healthy Challenge works because it provides a wellness tool for our employees to participate in that is easy, fun and encourages friendly competition with peers” said Kate Hatch, Director of Staff Development.
Recent studies indicate that every dollar invested in intervention efforts, such as wellness programs, yields $6 in health care savings. Healthy employees stay with their employers and wellness extends to additional productivity, reduced lost workdays, and more. In all, a strategic wellness program is an investment in employees’ health that pays off generously.
