ESU 11 Counselor Meeting

On December 5, 2016 Educational Service Unit #11 sponsored the opportunity for area counselors to participate in a networking process that occurs four times each year.  Staff Development Director Kate Hatch organized the counselors’ day.  During this particular meeting, the counselors heard from Dr. Christie Brungardt, the co-founder of Jana’s Campaign, a national education and violence prevention organization with the single mission of reducing gender and relationship violence.   The counselors also collaborated to create a local resources document.  This document will help all counselors in the ESU 11 area and will contain names and contact information of individuals and organizations that can help support the counselors in their work.  The group also discussed the new 11^th grade state test that will be given in the spring.
