Staff Development Director Kate Hatch organized the final counselors’ day for the 2012-2013 school year. During this particular meeting, Cathy Fox from Ted E. Bear Hollow, provided an orientation for grief kits that were purchased and are available for check out though the ESU 11 Media Department.
ESU 11 Technology Curriculum Coordinator Stephanie Dannehl shared the Learn360 resource that is available through ESU 11. Learn360 is an interactive media-on-demand service for the K-12 education market, providing teachers and students the power to meet and exceed 21st century educational expectations across all curriculums. These tools provide helpful resources for all educators in the ESU #11 area.
University of Nebraska at Kearney Professor of Counseling and School Psychology, Julie Dinsmore, facilitated an afternoon discussion regarding district elementary counseling curriculums. She provided an overview of several counseling models and expectations that are being used across the state.
ESU 11 counselors also recognized Dan Atchison from Holdrege High School and Lori Klone from Wilcox-Hildreth Public School for all of their years of service.
