On September 4, 2014, Kate Hatch and Jody Bauer conducted the second workshop for Entry Year Assistance for new teachers. This workshop provides an opportunity for new teachers and mentors in the service unit area to work together to develop skills and strategies that ensure a smooth transition into the teaching profession. At this session of training, the group focused on classroom management strategies, how to establish positive relationships with parents, and preparing for parent-teacher conferences. ESU #11 Technology Curriculum Consultant Jody Bauer also showed a variety of online resources that are available including: the ESU 11 website, Nettrekker, free learning management systems, and free online tools to increase student engagement.
