On October 20, 2015, Kate Hatch conducted Day 3 of the Entry Year Assistance Program. During the first half of the workshop, Kate presented information on the Nebraska State testing process, and methods to achieve a high level of student engagement in the classroom. Entry-level teachers and mentors also held lengthy small group discussions regarding parent/teacher conferences and classroom management.
During the second half of the day, Technology Curriculum Consultant Jody Bauer shared various iPad apps and Web 2.0 tools that can be used to enhance student engagement. Beth Kabes, ESU Coordinating Council Blended Learning Coordinator, showed teachers how to access instructional content and tools through HippoCampus and NROC.
