Employment Opening – Transition Coordinator

Educational Service Unit 11 is looking for a Transition Coordinator for the 2026-2027 school year. The Transition Coordinator helps students with disabilities, ages 14-21, plan for life after high school by developing goals for education, employment, and independent living, connecting them with resources, and coordinating services with families, schools, and outside agencies to ensure a successful move to adulthood.

Transition Coordinator – 1.0 FTE

Qualifications:
Baccalaureate Degree with Nebraska Teaching Certificate: Any Special Education endorsement, Guidance and Counseling, Vocational Special Needs or Cooperative Education Diversified Occupations endorsement, Special Services certificate for School Transition Specialist according to Rule 51. Master’s Degree, preferred, but not required.

Duties:
Collaborate with students who receive special education, teachers, families, and service agencies to assist in current and post-secondary needs. Facilitate workshops/trainings, assist in curriculum development, and develop relationships/partnerships with local businesses.
