On September 23, 2021, ESU 11 hosted a Professional Learning Community meeting for 7-12 grade ELA teachers. PLCs are an ongoing process in which educators work collaboratively to achieve better results for the students they serve. During the course of the day, teachers had the opportunity to learn about Nebraska’s new College and Career Ready ELA Standards, the instructional shifts, and how they can best prepare to teach them. Dr. Marissa Payzant, English Language Arts Consultant at the Nebraska Department of Education, was the facilitator for the day.
