Blended Learning Cohort Day 3 was Held March 2nd

ESU 11 Technology Curriculum Consultant Jody Bauer held a workshop on Blended Learning.  This meeting was Day 3 of the Blended Learning Cohort.  During this workshop participants discovered how to implement the 4 C’s into a Blended Learning Classroom. As technology and education start to blend together in everyday teaching, there are certain tools and websites that help engage students throughout the learning process.  During this workshop participants got a chance to explore, share and learn about technology tools that will help engage the classroom through communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking. This workshop showcased web based and ios apps that can be used in a classroom. Participants worked in groups to discover how to use the tools in their classroom, define possible learning objectives using the tool and designing a lesson.  The technology tools that teachers explored were Buncee a tool for creating, Wonderopolis for collaborating, and for critical thinking there was a variety of tools provided using the App Dice Challenge.  The last tool used for communication was SeeSaw which is a digital journaling tool to share thoughts about the day and to showcase the work they created.  Overall it was a fun and successful day.  Teachers took ideas and tools back to their classroom to use with their students.  Jody Bauer will continue to provide coaching and support in order to successfully integrate Blended Learning into teacher’s classroom.
