Curriculum Work Continues
Elementary teachers spent time with Kate and Jody in September to construct an articulated ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science curriculum map/pacing guide. Curriculum Mapping Work at ESU 11
On September 6, 2023, Kate and Jody conducted a curriculum mapping workshop for Career Tech Education teachers. A curriculum map shows where within a curriculum student learning is taught and assessed, that the instructional program of the school system is based on standards, and is approved by the local board of education.
Marzano Instructional Model Workshop
On August 3, 2023, ESU 11 held an Introduction to Marzano workshop. During this training, new teachers in Minden, Franklin, and Holdrege received an overview of the Marzano Instructional Model, and were provided specific information regarding establishing rules and procedures, organizing the classroom, and building relationships.
