On September 6, 2023, Kate and Jody conducted a curriculum mapping workshop for Career Tech Education teachers. A curriculum map shows where within a curriculum student learning is taught and assessed, that the instructional program of the school system is based on standards, and is approved by the local board of education.
Marzano Instructional Model Workshop
On August 3, 2023, ESU 11 held an Introduction to Marzano workshop. During this training, new teachers in Minden, Franklin, and Holdrege received an overview of the Marzano Instructional Model, and were provided specific information regarding establishing rules and procedures, organizing the classroom, and building relationships.
Classroom Management Workshop
On August 2, 2023, Kate Hatch conducted a workshop for new teachers in the ESU 11 area. During this training, teachers received information regarding specific strategies that should be used to ensure good classroom management. Such strategies include wait-time extended, interaction sequence, 10:2/5:1, and on the clock management.
