On April 10, 2018, six area school districts participated in the 9th Grade Business Tours hosted by ESU 11. The students had an opportunity to tour 4 businesses in and around Kearney including: Landmark Implement, Cash-Wa, Kearney Concrete and Block, and Midway Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler. During the lunch hour they were able to experience the college atmosphere and eat at the University of Nebraska – Kearney cafeteria. The students reported that they enjoyed learning about each business, the expectations of each employee of that business and watching the business run it’s daily routine.
This was such a great opportunity for students to understand expectations of various employers. I know my students really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Thanks for scheduling a great day, ESU 11!
