Approximately 300 central Nebraska students gathered at The Tassel in Holdrege on Thursday, November 2nd for a foreign language concert staring Emir Sensini. Emir is a singer-song writer and lives in the United States with his wife, Soledad, where he is projecting his career into all of Latin America and the United States. This concert is part of an international cultural experience for area high school students enrolled in Spanish classes. The ESU 11 Professional Development Department coordinated the event.
Emir sang numerous songs during the performance. Two students from Axtell introduced Emir at the beginning of the concert. During one particular song, students from Franklin Public School performed a choreographed dance. Districts attending the concert included: Amherst, Arapahoe, Axtell, Hastings St. Cecilia, Shelton, Cozad, Eustis-Farnam, Franklin, McCook, and Wilcox-Hildreth.
