On October 12, 2017, Kate Hatch conducted Day 3 of the Entry Year Assistance Program. During the first half of the workshop, Kate presented information on the Nebraska State testing process, and provided an opportunity for teachers to reflect on the success and challenges of their first quarter of teaching. Entry-level teachers and mentors also held lengthy small group discussions regarding parent/teacher conferences and classroom management.
Technology Curriculum Consultant Jody Bauer provided instruction as to how to access Learn360, a streaming digital delivery service, and NearPod, an interactive presentation and assessment tool.
During the second half of the day, Judy Lauby from ESU 10 presented information on autism and provided strategies that teachers can utilize when working with these students.
