During the month of December Bertrand, Loomis, Axtell, Franklin and Holdrege chose to participate in the “Hour of Code.” Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to Computer Science, designed to help students discover computer coding skills, and to broaden participation in the field of Computer Science. This event has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate Computer Science week. These schools hosted an Hour of Code during this week where students learned problem solving skills, logic and creativity all through coding. Learning to code provides a foundation for success in any 21st century career path.
