On November 5th ESU 11 hosted a workshop for area librarians. Kristina Peters, eLearning Specialist and School Library Liaison from NDE, was the facilitator for the day. During the course of the workshop she discussed how to use Creative Commons and social media to support education. She showed how Twitter, Facebook and Instagram can help districts tell their story and let their communities and the world around them see all the great things that are happening in the classroom. She also demonstrated how Creative Commons can be used to help support teaching Copyright and digital citizenship skills. At the end of the day, each librarian walked away with a new idea that they can use in their school.
