During the week of June 9, 2014, the ESU #11 Staff Development Department provided an intensive training for teachers within the service unit area. This training focused on higher level thinking instructional strategies that are most likely to improve student achievement. Participants developed projects and activities to integrate these strategies in all content areas and grade levels. Teachers also had to plan, describe, and select appropriate strategies, resources, and evaluation tools. This course was taught by Staff Development Director Kate Hatch, Technology Curriculum Consultant Stephanie Dannehl, and master teachers Julie Stagemeyer and Carmen Williamson from Arapahoe Public Schools.
