Supplemental Educational Services

The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) law requires local schools to provide expanded educational opportunities for eligible students. The expanded educational opportunities include instruction in Reading, Language Arts and Math beyond the regular school day. The SES program is required if the local school test scores do not meet the NCLB requirement of 100% of the students being proficient for two or more consecutive years of testing.

Educational Service Unit #11 (ESU 11) has been approved by the Nebraska Department of Education to be an SES Provider to our member schools

Once these gaps have been identified, an individual improvement plan that addresses these specific needs will be constructed and students will be grouped according to like needs. In addition regular progress monitoring will occur to ensure the effectiveness of the individual improvement plan.
