On June 27, 2012, ESU #11 Staff Development Director Kate Hatch coordinated a workshop that focused on the gender differentiated classroom in grades kindergarten through twelve. Master teacher and nationally known presenter Ron Coniglio was the facilitator for the day. This one-day training was designed to introduce educators to the primary elements of Differentiated Instruction that includes how to understand students as learners, and the difference between assessment and evaluation. Ron also provided a myriad of powerful and creative strategies regarding how to tier lessons that teachers can start using with students right away.
