On February 15, 2011, ESU #11 Technology Curriculum Consultant Robert Hays conducted a technology planning workshop. During the course of this workshop, schools worked and collaborated to identify the skills they want to have taught to their students based on a review of state and national recommendations, identified when these skills are taught, identified which resources are available to help them in their determination and assessment of student and staff readiness and skill acquisition, and developed an action plan for assessment of students and staff skills, followed by a plan for staff development and skill development to accomplish their identified goals. SuAnn Witt from the Nebraska Department of Education was also on hand to assist in this process.
